For those eager to explore further, about 1.5 kilometers back from the refugio lies a very sharp hairpin bend. Here, on the left-hand side, you’ll find a rough track known as the ‘Paseo de los Pinsapos’. This track meanders through a pine forest predominantly made up of the Abies Pinsapo Boiss, a tree species unique to the slopes of Los Reales and one other location near Ronda. After about 600 meters of winding through the forest, you’ll arrive at a small plantation adorned with information about these remarkable trees.
